INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Sonautic. At Sonautic Inc., we strive to provide a valuable and high-quality music practice and productivity platform. We understand that sometimes a subscription may not meet your expectations, and we want to ensure a fair and transparent refund process.
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for purchases made through the Sonautic web platform at https://sonautic.io (the "Web Service"). By subscribing to Sonautic through our website, you agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy.
Note: This policy applies only to purchases made directly through our website via Stripe. For purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds are handled by Apple and Google respectively. Please refer to their refund policies and processes.
SUBSCRIPTION PLANS AND BILLING
2.1 Subscription types
Sonautic offers the following subscription options through the web platform:
Monthly subscriptions billed on a recurring monthly basis
Annual subscriptions billed on a recurring yearly basis
2.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing period.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
2.3 Free trial
If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial period ends.
You may cancel during the trial period without being charged.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be billed accordingly.
REFUND ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Full refunds
You may be eligible for a full refund in the following circumstances:
Within 7 days of initial purchase: If you are not satisfied with Sonautic, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment.
Technical issues: If you experience significant technical issues that prevent you from using the Service and we are unable to resolve them within a reasonable timeframe.
Duplicate charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription period in error.
Unauthorized charges: If a charge was made without your authorization (subject to verification).
3.2 Prorated refunds
Prorated refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
Service outages: Extended service outages lasting more than 48 consecutive hours may qualify for a prorated credit or refund.
Cancellation of annual plans: If you cancel an annual subscription and have used less than 30 days of service, we may offer a prorated refund at our discretion.
3.3 Non-refundable situations
Refunds are generally not available in the following situations:
Requests made more than 7 days after the initial purchase (for satisfaction-related reasons).
Partial months of service on monthly subscriptions.
Failure to cancel before a renewal date.
Change of mind after the 7-day refund window.
Violations of our Terms and Conditions resulting in account suspension or termination.
Inability to use the Service due to factors outside our control (for example, your internet connection or device compatibility).
HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
4.1 Refund request process
To request a refund, you must email us at contact@sonautic.io with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:
Your account email address
Date of the charge
Amount charged
Reason for the refund request
Any relevant details or documentation (for example, screenshots of technical issues)
4.2 Response time
We will acknowledge your refund request within 5 business days.
Refund decisions are typically made within 10 business days of receiving all necessary information.
Complex cases may take up to 15 business days to review.
4.3 Refund processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been processed.
CANCELLATION
5.1 How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
In the app: Go to Account Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription.
By email: Send a cancellation request to contact@sonautic.io.
5.2 Effect of cancellation
Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods after cancellation.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.
You retain access to premium features until your subscription period ends.
5.3 Reactivation
If you cancel and later wish to resubscribe, you may do so at any time through your account settings.
Previous subscription history does not carry over; a new subscription starts a new billing cycle.
CHARGEBACKS
6.1 Dispute resolution
If you believe a charge is incorrect, we strongly encourage you to contact us at contact@sonautic.io before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We are committed to resolving billing issues fairly and promptly.
6.2 Chargeback consequences
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account.
We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that we believe are unwarranted.
Accounts with fraudulent chargeback claims may be permanently terminated.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
7.1 Promotional pricing
Subscriptions purchased at promotional or discounted rates are subject to this same refund policy.
Refund amounts for promotional purchases will be based on the amount actually paid.
7.2 Subscription upgrades or downgrades
If you upgrade your subscription, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period.
Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Refunds are not issued for the difference when downgrading mid-cycle.
7.3 Account credits
In some cases, we may offer account credits instead of refunds. Account credits:
Can be applied to future subscription payments.
Do not expire while your account is active.
Are non-transferable and have no cash value.
CHANGES TO THIS REFUND POLICY
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes:
We will post the updated policy on the Web Service.
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
We may notify you via email or in-app notification for significant changes.
